The day before Thanksgiving, GMP Remodeling Corp. of Northern Chicagoland was busy with their commitment to give back to the communities they work in.

GMP Remodeling donated 30 turkeys and 10 spiral hams to WGN’s annual food drive and to Lakewood Chapel’s community outreach services in Arlington Heights administered by Pastor John and Sue Elleson. Bob Schmalz of GMP Remodeling Corp. is a proud member of the Lakewood Chapel Church.

We sent a good friend of ours, Scottie, to a Blackhawks game on December 18th 2011. Sitting next to the locker room entrance, Scottie was noticed by several members of the Blackhawks staff, who lavished all sorts of attention and gifts on our good pal. At the end of the game, (Blackhawks won 4-2) Jonathan Toews walked by Scottie, stopped and came back and gave him the stick he played with that night.

We would like to thank Jonathan Toews and the entire Blackhawks organization for being so good to Scottie. It was a night he won’t forget.

GMP Remodeling Corp of Northern Chicagoland teamed up with the Chicago Mustangs professional soccer team and Gigi's Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Center in February to give one of Gigi's young men a chance to be a member of the Mustangs.

The Mustangs signed Brian Rogala to a one-day contract to participate with the Mustangs during a home game at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates.

Additionally, half the gate money that night was donated to Gigi's Playhouse by the Chicago Mustangs.

GMP Remodeling has supported Gigi's Playhouse since 2013 and the 100 Club of Illinois since 2012. Gigi's Playhouse is an organization for families that have down syndrome.

We are also a member of the Chicago Police 100 Club, which means every time an officer gets injured or takes the ultimate sacrifice on the line of duty we make a donation. We believe in supporting our comunity.
